I have a genuine fondness for the first few weeks of life, where I am captivated by the adorable details: the wrinkly toes, the silky hair, and those precious little smiles. It brings me immense joy to curate baskets, blankets, and props, carefully choosing the perfect wraps and bonnets for each unique session. These moments allow me to express my creativity fully, and after six years of photographing newborns, I have been fortunate to learn from exceptional mentors like Caralee Case, from Caralee Case Photography, whose guidance has greatly influenced my growth in this field.
The early weeks of your newborn's life are a precious and fleeting time that deserves to be captured and treasured.
To initiate the process of booking a newborn session with me, the first step is to reach out through email or phone call, though I also make an effort to check messages on Instagram and Facebook. Let's have a conversation! We can arrange a phone consultation or a meeting at the studio, whichever suits your schedule best.

I'm thrilled that you're interested in booking a newborn session with me! Typically, we would have another phone call to discuss your ideas for the session, including your color preferences and the type of pictures you love. We can also explore whether you're interested in a maternity session, discuss your budget, and consider the option of a payment plan. Once we've finalized the details, you can secure your spot on my calendar by paying the retainer. I'm excited to work with you and capture these special moments!

Preparing for your newborn session can feel overwhelming, especially after just having a baby! But rest assured, I am here to support and guide you every step of the way. From coordinating outfits to providing suggestions and ideas, I'll help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Upon booking, I'll send you a welcome guide filled with helpful tips for getting your newborn ready. During the session, your role mostly involves watching me work my magic. I believe in allowing ample time for each family, so I block out 4 hours for a newborn session, although it typically takes between 2-3 hours. I never want to rush, as capturing these precious moments is my priority.
Photo session
To accommodate the unpredictable nature of newborn arrivals, I schedule your session around your due date, understanding that babies have their own timeline. After your little one has arrived and you've had a chance to rest, I kindly ask that you reach out to me to share the joyous news. We will then collaborate to determine a suitable time for the session. The ideal window for newborn photography is typically between 5-14 days of age. For optimal lighting and conditions, I typically schedule these sessions during mid-mornings on weekdays. Then get ready for some squishy baby magic.
5. your photographs
Around 1-2 weeks after your photo session, we'll arrange a meeting either at the studio or through a Zoom call. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to review and select your favorite photos from a gallery of 40+ lightly touched-up images available for purchase. If you're interested in wall art, we'll discuss the options and designs that best suit your preferences. Additionally, if you'd like custom announcements, we'll explore ideas together. Your final purchases will be made during this session, and once that's done, I'll begin working on your order and fully editing your purchases. Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for the completion of your session.

As a thank you for participating, you'll receive a significantly discounted rate, while allowing me to capture stunning marketing material. It's a win-win situation for both of us! These sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home or at one of our Airbnb locations. The focus of these sessions is to capture the genuine connections within your family, with minimal posing involved. It's all about capturing those raw and authentic moments. If you're interested in being one of the model families, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email.
I understand that raising a baby can come with significant expenses, but capturing those precious moments shouldn't break the bank. That's why I've created a special session just for you. You have the option to choose between a 30-minute posed session or a family session, either outdoors or in the studio. These sessions are designed to be quick and easy, accommodating your busy schedule. In a posed session, your baby will be comfortably wrapped, and I'll provide a variety of baskets and props for added variety. If you opt for a family newborn session, it will be similar to a regular family session, but with the joyful inclusion of your new addition. I'll ensure your baby is wrapped for their comfort and assist in posing the rest of your family.
